What will happen this July?
Google Chrome will release its new version V.68
Why is this release important and should we be informed?
Currently the version of Google Chrome V.64, presents a near the name of the site, when it is using an HTTP protocol. Starting in July in the new version of Google Chrome V.68, for all non-HTTPS sites next to the site name will be displayed
In addition, Google’s search engine has openly stated that it will reward all ranked sites on the internet that use a secure HTTPS connection.
HTTPS and SSL
Increasingly, data security is important and so when we exchange data on the Internet, we must do so safely.
This security can be done from the HTTPS protocol, because with the use of it, the data will be encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
When we visit a site, the data that is exchanged between the browser and the server on which the visited site is hosted may be intercepted during transmission by a third person who is aware of the data transmitted and received.
To avoid this, by using the HTTPS protocol, it will allow, through the use of an SSL certificate issued by a Certified Entity, to encrypt the transmitted information, making it in fact imperceptible.
Why is it important to have an SSL certificate?
> An SSL certificate associated with your domain certainly indicates more security for the user’s eyes.
> You will also be sure that the data exchanged between your site and the user is encrypted and imperceptible.
> If your site contains internal user registration forms, informational email forms, or electronic payment forms, you will definitely need an SSL certificate to protect the exchange of such sensitive data.
> Caution: The free certificates (Let’s Encript) do not offer guarantees in case of theft or violation of data.
