The number of Internet users that usually access e-commerce websites has varied little, but the time dedicated to navigation is increasing.
There were 4.52 million Portuguese who accessed online stores from their personal computers in the second quarter of 2017. The figure corresponds to an increase of 3.7% over the same period of the previous year.
The number represents 76.4% of Internet users in Portugal, a daily average of 588 thousand unique users, 14% more than in the same quarter of 2016.
In this period, a total of 856 million pages of online stores were visited, which gives something like 189 per user. The number shows an increase of 18.6% over the same period.
This was the second quarter of the last three years in which the Portuguese spent more time in electronic stores.
